Growing up on a farm in Kansas, I had to make my own fun. At twelve, I found it: my best friend and I started making short films on my dad's DV camera. We began with in-camera edits before graduating to the family PC, and I still remember the first time I cut a scene together and saw the full magic of post. That spark became a lifelong calling.

Since then I've edited independent features and shorts — yay, Head Count, Below the Fold, Chasing Gold — drawn to dramatic storytelling, strong character studies, and the human condition. Alongside that work, I've built a career in high-end branded films with the likes of Toyota, Corona, Planet Fitness, and Fiat. Commercial work sharpened my instincts for collaboration, story, and the discipline of a tight deadline.

All of it has made me into a versatile editor who understands both the technical demands of the cutting room and the emotional storytelling involved. My focus is always the same: meaningful work, the best result for the team, and every choice in service of the story.
